The Range - St. Louis West

The Range West is the only NON RACIST gun store around. Im Asian and I went to several stores and just stood there, never being acknowledged or noticed. This happened at all the stores for some reason, so I held up a wad of cash and yelled I guess you don’t accept cash as they took care of theee people that came in after me. (Denny Dennis was the absolute worst ). Of course the mamas chased me into the parking lot and asked how much ya got? None for you or your store. But, It all changed when I went to American Arms years ago. The owner John, himself personally introduced himself and helped answer all of my questions until I wanted to purchase a gun several that is. I have been following him for years, now his new place, Range West is top tier. Better than anywhere in St. Louis, by far. Not some falling apart building in a smelly building. Just the attention you receive as soon as you walk in the door until you leave with bags of goodies. Thanks John and Team. I’m a customer for life! I am a novice to guns and have shot a couple times but never had the confidence to shoot on my own. I decided to take the beginner pistol course offered here and it was amazing! Vinnie did a fantastic job making sure we had the proper training and understanding of pistols and how they work as well as all of the safety procedures. We then went to the range and got to apply all of these but they helped us all individually before allowing us all to shoot independently. The process and overall layout of the course is perfect for anyone looking to get started but are not sure where to start. Also all of the sales and staff was super friendly and helpful. 5 out of 5 stars for overall service and customer support.

Excellent gun range with friendly staff! I visited this location for the first time tonight and found that the store on the main level and the range in the basement were both exceptional quality. My friend and I interacted with 3 different staff members (the person who checked us in, the person who set us up with a lane, ammo, and targets in the range, and the person who checked us out at the end) and they were all friendly and easy-going. They provided relevant information, but I never EVER felt like they were mansplaining or trying to sell me something. I would definitely visit again, and I would love to check out the "Girls Just Wanna Have Guns" event!
